Looking for the Pot of Gold

Tilda and Edwin have gone down the path to search for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!  Loved this little rainbow scene and you can use your imagination as to where the path goes.

Diana has this lovely little scene plus the butterfly and dragonflies here.  These are from the Fairytale Collection.
#656 Fairytale Summer Background
#1405 Fairytale Butterfly
#1407 Dragonfly

Other supplies used were:
Distress Inks:  Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed, Pumice Stone, Old Paper, Faded jeans, Forest Moss, Fired Brick, Wild Honey
Scallop Trim Corner, Foam Tape, Stickles-Stardust, Crystal Lacquer

I stamped and cut out an extra layer for the butterfly, dragon flies, trees, clouds and leaves of the flowers so there was some dimension.  Also put Crystal Lacquer on the trees and the flowers.  Have a hard time leaving things flat!  The post office loves me!!!  :)

Appreciate you stopping by and always appreciate the comments!
Enjoy the day!

Bling, Bling, Bling

Front of Portfolio

Inside of Portfolio-holds envelopes and cards

For Week 5 of the Magnolia-licous Yahoo Group Birthday Bash challenge, it is all about bling!!!  So pulled out the Pearl pen, rhinestones, and glitter glue and some things I've been wanting to use including some of the Tilda's from the Fairytale Collection.  Rather unusual for me, but did not add any flowers because wanted the beautiful Magnolia Fairytale Design Paper to show along with the pretty little Tildas!  You can find these at Diana's store Magnolia-licious.  If she is out, there are a huge number of other lovely Magnolia stamps to get you by till she gets more in!!!

This pattern for a wonderful portfolio that holds cards and envelopes is called Simple Friendship from Andrea Walford.

A note on the beautiful Magnolia design papers, they are not just thin paper, they are more like a lightweight card stock and are gorgeous.  They come in 12 x 12 size and the outside edge has the white distressed look.  When I cut the pieces down, I just took some white acrylic paint on a sponge and dabbed the newly cut edges to match.

Thanks for stopping by!  What is your favorite bling product???
Hope you'll join in on the Birthday Challenge too!

Under the Sea

This card was made for the Birthday Bash Magnolia-licous Group Challenge #4!  The challenge is to use a stamp you hadn't used before and make an easel card!  Have wanted to color this fun Mermaid Tilda so thought it would be a good choice to use.  When I first saw these leaves, I knew I "needed" them, but didn't know what I needed them for exactly.  I've found so many good uses for them.  They are such a good addition to many types of scenes.  This was a terrific challenge because I also used a punch (the clam shell) that I hadn't used before!

Magnolia Stamps:  #378 Mermaid Tilda
                                 #434 Tip Leaves
Punches: Punch Bunch Branch, Carl Clam
Architectural Accent #1 Sizzlet Die
Distress Inks:  Tattered Rose, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Broken China, Pin Needles, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, Weathered Wood, Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap
Pearls and Dew Drops
K & Company DP and Sandpaper
Shell pieces, Mesh
Stickles-Diamond

These were stamps from Magnolia-licious Store HERE!   Thanks Diana!!!  They were so much fun to work with to create a scene!  Don't forget to check out the new Wedding Collection stamps too!  So many adorable ones!!!

She's Not So Spooky

Even though she is named So Spooky she just looks so sweet here.  I just cut off the broom!  This just happened to be parts for a floral card I had left and I decided to add Tilda to it because the colors went so well.  Hadn't used the Pine Needles DI for clothing before but Marion had shown me how pretty it looked on Tilda with her card here.

Used Distress Inks:  Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Pine Needles, Wild Honey, Brushed Corduroy and Pumice Stone.  Punches were from Punch Bunch:  Blossom-3 sizes, Stamen, White Oak-2 sizes, Branch and Butterfly. Also used the 1/8" and 1/4" hole punch, Stardust Pen, White Glaze Pen and the Floral Screen Cuttlebug embossing Folder.

You can find a huge selection of Magnolia stamps HERE at Diana's Magnolia-licious Store.

Don't forget the Magnolia Birthday Bash here going on with lots of challenges, prizes and fun!  Scroll down and check out all of the creative and terrific cards submitted using Chris's great sketch!  What inspiration!!!

Enjoy the day!
